Hi, I am an Assistant Professor in the Social Sciences Department at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. My research focuses on online party politics; specifically, on the strategic use of the Internet and Social Network Sites by political parties and elites as a communication tool during electoral campaigns and its effect on inter-party competition in Western democracies. I am also interested in youths’ online political participation patterns.
Currently, I am a Visiting Scholar at the Wilf Family Department of Politics at New York University, developing my research interests at the Social Media and Political Participation Lab (SMaPP)
